Seedco (Structured Employment Economic Development Corporation) is an organization founded to create opportunities for low-wage workers and their families by engaging with community partners and anchor institutions. In Memphis, Seedco has partnered with several community organizations to administer the EarnBenefits program.
- The Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis (WFGM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit grantmaking organization. Fostered by an initial gift form local philanthropist Mertie Buckman, it was established in 1995 to encourage philanthropy, foster leadership among women and to support programs that enable women and children to reach their full potential.
- The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis (CFGM) seeks to strengthen our community through philanthropy. They help donors support the organizations they care about most. Since 1969, the CFGM has awarded more than $300 million in grants from their 900 charitable funds.
- The Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Inc. (The Foundation) has awarded more than $80 million to not-for-profit organizations serving people located primarily in Memphis, Tennessee and in the Mid-South region since 1994. The Foundation focuses on healthcare and human services, education and literacy, social justice/ethics, cultural enrichment and the arts.
- The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation was formed by Graceland/Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. in 1984 to continue Elvis’ own tradition of generosity and community service and to honor his memory. The EPCF is overseen by Lisa Marie Presley, chairperson, and the management team of Graceland/Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. The Elivis Presley Charitable Foundation is a separate, purely philanthropic 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
- The National Economic Development & Law Center (NEDLC) is a national research and consulting organization dedicated to building economic health and opportunity in vulnerable communities. We partner with a diverse range of colleagues to develop innovative strategies and programs that result in systemic change and help people become — and remain — economically secure.
